Subject: Fall Football/Cheer Registration Open!!!
Hi FYF Giant Families; Flag, Tackle and Cheer!
On behalf of the FYF Giants Board of Directors we continue to hope you all remain healthy and well. We are excited to let you know that Registration is now open for all of our programs. We also are very aware that the climate we are opening the registration is very different than at any time in our collective history. The Covid-19 crisis is still very much in our midst but we also believe we need to start to look forward and hope to bring some normalcy to our kids. Most importantly give them (AND YOU!!!) something to look forward to. We do not know what the future holds but we do know the following:
- Tackle equipment, Flag Soft Helmets and Cheer uniforms have been reconditioned, sanitized and stored
- The FYF board has agreed to open Registration and initiate plans with the assumption the season is a "GO"
- We will follow CIAC/Town/State guidelines on all Covid-19 related safety regulations as they come forward with recommendations
- If you registered for the spring flag season your credited amount will automatically be deducted at time of registration for the selected fall program.
- We will REFUND all registration dollars if the season is cancelled
The last bullet may be the most important to our families and to FYF. We need to open registration to start to understand our numbers, costs, needs and resources but we also completely understand families may be hesitant to enroll/pay with a future in doubt. Football and Cheer are expensive sports to run and maintain. Our Program Coordinators have all committed to not spend $1 until we know the season is a go. This will allow us to ensure that you can all register and pay now without being penalized should the season not happen. We also will avoid sending payment reminders should you register and opt not to pay at this point. We can initiate emails at a later date when season ordering happens to ensure payment is received by August. This means there is NO FINANCIAL reason to NOT register.
These are challenging times for everyone in our area and we hope that our Refund policy, along with our payment policy, will allow you all to select your programs, register your children and get ready to PLAY (AND CHEER) SOME FOOTBALL!!!
Reminder that Flag is available from K-8th grade, Tackle is 5th-8th (4th graders interested should reach out to tackle coordinator), Modified Flag (Travel Flag) is open to 3rd and 4th and Cheer ages 5-13. Please circulate to all friends and families that you know since flag divisions do have size limits due to field space.
